The Complaint Of Fraud and Potential Case of Racketeering Involving a Consumer and a Phoenix Automotive Repair Business Raises Concern for Would Be Business Investor!?

October 4, 2021: Just an innocent consumer looking to have an engine rebuilt for his 1989 Chevy Silverado, one of several refurbishments in his small but building vehicle collection, and progress was being made states Mr. Akil A. Bomani, until on Aug. 26. He turned over his vehicle with an original estimate of $2,400.00 to Exclusive Engine Rebuilding And Machine Shop on N. 25th street in Phoenix, Az. to Iyad al-Shuaibi other known as Eddy, the assumed business owner. Since that day, Mr. Bomani has received a final bill of $4,220.00 including two (2) $60.00 credit card transaction fees, two (2) notifications that his repair was complete and to pick up his vehicle only to find upon his arrival on both occasions that the vehicle was not only not ready, but engine compartment parts were scattered about with no sign of the assigned mechanic (Rubin) in the area, incurred extra and unnecessary travel expenses totaling approximately $1,574.06, a personal check for $250.00 to compensate for some of the traveling expenses, twelve (12) days of lost productivity, and another promise to “have it ready”. The problem is Mr. Bomani resides out of State. And even if he didn’t, he is seeking immediate justice and resolution. “Well, because of the evidence I’ve gathered already suggesting that I was charged for work that was not performed and due to the repeated delays of actually getting my vehicle back into my possession as well as the extra traveling expenses caused by the notifications, I’m awaiting the outcome of a Better Business Bureau complaint, I’m filing a complaint with both the Federal Bureau Of Investigations as well as the, Phoenix Police Department, because I’m not sure which jurisdiction the matter falls under, to initiate an investigation of fraud, potential racketeering, and possibly auto theft including the arrest of all guilty parties. ?Also, I’m seeking legal representation for a civil suit to not only get my vehicle back, assistance in verifying the work that was charged was actually performed, my refund, vehicle transportation expenses, and compensation. My experience tells me the signs indicate that there may be other criminal activities associated with this business”, stated Mr. Bomani. And with the Phoenix market on the list of cities for business development for the forming organization he heads, The Head Cornerstone Corporation, concerns are that if Phoenix is indeed an ideal location for investing and assisting with the building of the very vibrant economy he envisions. When asked, Mr. Bomani commented, “You know, it’s a very interesting situation to be in when you go to purchase a product or service, you pay whatever price you’re given for the exchange, and then you become a victim of some unscrupulous person. But, I would not be so shallow minded as to hold this incident against the City of Phoenix. I do not believe in the ‘one apple spoils the barrel’ concept. I do believe that everything happens for a reason. And this is why it’s important to get to know the people around you, business or personal. Because, you never know and it’s too important. There are two types of people I refuse to do business with; racist and corrupt individuals. You could develop a headache daily dealing with such people...it’s not a very healthy relationship”, stated Mr. Bomani. ?
