“We receive requests on a daily basis to open more stores in South Africa. We worked hard to make our store concept available as Franchise opportunity and we should soon see a number of 2nd Take stores opening in the country.
Quality second-hand stores are a big hit with fashion and environmental conscious students, their parents, as well as style, brand and budget conscious Fashion Hunters.” says Bettina Berlep, owner and founder of 2nd Take.
Bettina goes on saying, “When we open a Franchise store, it is always a bit daunting, as we do take a risk. The new Franchisee needs to run the store as we would, needs to uphold our standards and grow the band in accordance with our vision. We are very happy to have Leeza McCloskey on our team. She has opened the first 2nd Take Franchise store in Pretoria, This is a big step for us, but we have no doubt that she will make her store into a great success.”
Leeza says ““I have been in Fashion all my life and after taking a brief fashion break, I decided to go back to what I do best and what I am passionate about – Fashion and Customer Care. I was looking for a Franchise business, which not only focused on fashion, but also incorporated other aspects, like supporting the communities and being environmentally useful." She goes on saying:" My biggest concern was the fear of the unknown – would it be a success, how would I get stock, would the location of the store work? Now, I am so please that I took on this venture, as it is something new. My customers love the idea. I have gathered a good base of suppliers who keep returning not only as a supplier but also as a customer. I have also built a good relationship with my customers and they keep coming back. I get great compliments from our customers and suppliers on the concept of 2nd Take."
Leeza McCloskey has successfully managed and built up various Fashion brands and has a strong marketing, visual merchandising and business background.
Her motto: “If you really want to do something you will find a way, if you don’t you will find an excuse “
