Presidential Scene 3 In A Quandary

Staff and advisors in a tight circle

In a closet in the White House

Franticly all speaking

The repeated refrain “ what do we do”

Staff member “ shhhh keep your voices down “

Another member “ But what do we do what do we do? “

Staff member “ We keep lying that’s what we do. You hold the line “

Another member “ But somebody has got to tell him “

Staff member “ Who, you?”

Another member “ No, no not me you’re closer to him

how about you?”

?They all turn to the advisor

Advisor “ No not me he only listens to me when he wants to say something:

racist

homophobic or any kind of sexist stuff “

Staff member “ so what do we do what do we do”

Another member “ Our lies are mounting up and it all beginning to smell

like we’re covering up  

the cartoons in our allies newspapers are getting pretty rough

we’re becoming a laughing stock,

what do we do, what do we do

somebody has got to speak to him.

someone has got to tell him he can’t keep blaming Obama

and that Hillary is long gone “

Advisor “ Who farted? “

Staff member “ It’s all beginning to stink “

Staff member sticks his head out of the closet

fans the door to help clear the air closes the closet door

Staff member “ Any suggestions?”

Another member “ Yeah, we should stop farting around

tell him the leader of the free world is suppose to be just that

a leader and that integrity stands for something and if we keep this up

none of us will have any left!
