Presidential Race/Fuel Notes
Well, it's that day again that I am writing this post on my break. I will try and be brief as possible since I haven't got a lot of time. Anyway, I have been watching the U.S. Presidential Elections and I have to say that I am having a hard time figuring out who is winning since I haven't been paying much attention since most times I am working. Even though I check the newspapers for stories on the elections I haven't been able to find any. But I did manage to catch a bit of a debate days ago between Ted Cruz and Hilary Clinton. I was going to say Donald Trump but according to some source that I have seen, the billionaire businessman doesn't like debates. I don't know why but it seems to me that he doesn't really know what to talk about. I guess this tactic must be working for him since I have a feeling that he is leading the polls. But there are a couple of issues that I have been thinking about while the election is on. First, the economy itself and what this election will mean to the economy if a new president from the Republican party got elected. Second, the policies which will get passed regarding oil and other commodities since the oil price itself is low. What will the new president say about the prices of commodities? I ask this even though this probably ties to the economy itself. Overall, what will be done with the oil price and the wealth created from it since most of the US Economy is somewhat on shaky ground and somewhat unequal because not everyone is benefiting from it.
Now that I had gotten that out of the way and will talk about later in the future, I will see if I can talk about what went on at the gas bar. Well, all I can say is that the days of low prices are over since in most areas of the city, prices at most stations have gone up.While the station I am at we are still sitting at the same price. Which reminds me, the price of oil has gone down once again. We are now sitting at about $33/barrel. Hopefully the price remains steady or still. But overall, business was very slow even though we had our busy moments.
