Presidential puppets: Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are finished

‘Inevitability’ – it should be the word for the week. It was inevitable that a tech crash would cripple our fragile and tech-obsessed civilisation and it was inevitable that Joe Biden would withdraw from the race.

The man who spent the previous presidential debate with his mouth open, staring into the studio lights, mumbling sweet-nothings about his non-existent golf stroke could not run against Trump in a dull year, let alone while the media is wallpapered with an image of a bloodied man, fist in the air, American flag rippling behind, proclaiming that he will ‘fight!’

Trump is now the man who ‘took a bullet for democracy’ – a line uttered by Trump in response to Democrat nonsense that he is a ‘threat to democracy’.

It’s a stage set to make Biden look like history’s least convincing puppet, lending weight to Trump’s claims about the Deep State.

Joe Biden’s tweets since the event have been erratic, unhinged, and full of Julie Inman Grant’s favourite topic – misinformation. Colour me surprised that our eSafety Commissioner stilled her hand and resisted the urge to send a letter of demand to Twitter over the livestreaming of the assassination attempt.

Remember when Newscorp chief Michael Miller told the press that social media was ‘monetising misery’? How many Newscorp journalists went to social media, I wonder, for the clips and facts of the near assassination attempt which was livestreaming on Twitter? How many news programs headlined with footage of a bloodied Trump? How many articles ran with the photograph of the shooter lying dead on the roof? Do our establishment media giants restrain themselves in the face of profit – or are we seeing the head-tilt of jealousy toward Elon Musk’s platform as the news breaks live, continuously, uncut, and unfiltered?

It’s almost a shame that the eSafety Commissioner kept quiet. We would have enjoyed listening to the roar of laughter from America if she tried to remove the century’s most famous image on the grounds it lacked context and could be used to radicalise a political movement. There’s next to nothing to pick between Trump’s livestreamed attack and that of Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel – except the political influence of those involved. It makes me long for the radical devotion to free speech expressed by the American republic, even if it is under attack.

The story of Biden no longer matters. Democrat puppet masters are desperately hoping to wipe the slate clean with Kamala Harris. This political trick works in ordinary election cycles with moderately competent candidates. It will not work here.

Announcing on Twitter (too bad, so sad MSN) that he has decided not to accept the Democrat nomination, Biden has effectively proven Trump correct. Biden is not fit for office and not fit to run.

While a weak America has left the world in a state of conflict, and Democrat-led States resemble scenes from The Walking Dead, Biden had this to say, ‘We’ve protected and preserved our Democracy. And we’ve revitalised and strengthened our alliances around the world. It has been the greatest honour of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.’

It’s astonishing he didn’t address the letter to the wrong country, such is the state of his mental decline, but this letter – as with Biden’s tweets – are not penned by the President but some faceless pen in the backrooms of power.

Less than 24 hours earlier, Biden tweeted that ‘he will win’ the next election.

And for all those talking about how the Democrats have taken a more ‘responsible’ tone, two days ago Biden said: ‘He [Trump] bragged about getting along with dictators. That’s because Trump wants to be a dictator. He said so himself.’

Muzzling social media will not calm political rhetoric because it’s coming from the top.

As it stands, Vice President Kamala Harris has been left to run – a choice worse than Biden in that her gaffes, insufferable tone, nonsense comments, and exceptional lack of knowledge cannot be put down to a medical decline. She has her wits about her, and those wits are embarrassing.

I said on Spectator TV last Friday that the political movement is all in one direction – Trump.

Kamala Harris is a non-starter. A failure. A DEI mistake that cannot be fixed. She is the sloped roof meme made real. Every word she says is another state lost to the red wave.

Kamala Harris will not be President.

Tucker Carlson said:

‘This was no longer a man [Trump]. Well, I think that … I think it was divine intervention. But the effect it [the assassination attempt] had on Donald Trump was that he was no longer just a political party’s nominee or a former President or a future President. This was the leader of a nation. And I think there’s a difference.’

Yes, he’s right. There is a difference. It’s the same difference between Churchill and Sunak-era seat warmers. Between conservatives and wets. The same difference between the real free press – like this magazine – and the politically chained propaganda bought and paid for by the Deep State whose true motivations we will never know, except to say, they’re not good.

I spoke with the IPA’s John Storey about living in a sliding doors moment as a civilisation.

Through one door is President Trump – a man who will use the full power of the United States to defend freedom of speech for all mankind – including Australia.

And through the other door – it’s not a door – it’s a trapdoor into a communist-style dictatorship. It’s the gravel pit of the gulag and the only free things our governments will give us in the future are shovels to dig the hole deeper.

Most believe Barack Obama remains in control of the Democrat Party, a belief helped along by awkward footage of the faithful hovering around his handshake at parties while Biden faces the wall having a conversation with himself.

We can occupy ourselves with questions such as, ‘Who is running America? Who will run against Trump? What will the campaign look like now? What were the motivations of the shooter?’

These questions, and their answers, are of no importance. There is power in an image and momentum in destiny. It is not often the world witnesses a pivotal figure dragging global politics in their wake, but Trump is striding into the water and the water is curling around him.
