Since Herbert Hoover, when a president leaves office, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) establishes a presidential materials project to house and index the documents until a new presidential library is built and transferred to the federal government.

In an effort to do some family events that are fun but also educational we have been visiting the Presidential libraries to share with my kids US history.
