Is President Trump's "Deal of the Century"? Good or Bad?

Is President Trump's "Deal of the Century" Good or Bad?

From moving the American embassy to Jerusalem to declaring Israel’s right to the Golan Heights, President Trump has proven himself one of Israel’s greatest friends. Even in regards to the “deal” there are many good things for Israel. There are, however, three major elements of the plan that, in my opinion, override all the good that it includes and unquestionably places the “deal” in the “bad” category.

In no uncertain terms, the “deal” states that:

  1. Land that God promised to the Jewish people should be divided and given away, to form a Palestinian state (Genesis 12).
  2. Israel must empower a regime that has publicly sworn, in official documents, to annihilate them. The traumatic uprooting of the Gush Katif communities in the 2005 disengagement proved to radicalize Israel’s enemies, increase the power of Hamas, and increase terror against Israel. Transfer of land to the Palestinian Authority will motivate terror.
  3. Many Jews currently living in Judea and Samaria will be confined to enclaves/ghettos so that the Palestinian state can be Judenrein (without Jews). As a result, the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria will not be able to grow. Access to the communities will be limited, making daily life for Jewish residents very difficult.

Christians should stand on God’s word and speak out against these historically horrific solutions. Please do not support a deal that is diametrically opposed to the will of God. Please do not be indifferent, but boldly speak the truth in love. Please take action today to show your support for the right of the Jewish people to live and flourish in the biblical heartland of Israel.

This is not an attack on President Trump. He has done many great things for Israel and we are very thankful to him for that. This is the honest opinion of a Bible-believing Christian who, for the last fifteen years, has partnered with the God-fearing, Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria to restore Israel’s heartland.
