President Elect Trump, The Personality, The Country

On November 7, 2016 Donald Trump became the fifth president elect of the United States by a minority of the popular vote, which he lost by an astounding two and a half million votes and growing.

This was achieved by taking the popular votes of each state and applying an anachronism called the Electoral College to them. And when the popular vote was converted to electoral votes, the loser won.

Another thing the minority of voters got for their vote were grandiose promises to make America great again. Promises in actuality that were far from grandiose, they were ludicrous; building a two thousand mile wall with Mexico and making Mexico pay for it, rounding up and deporting millions of illegals, eliminating the immigration of all Muslims, bringing jobs back to America that don't exist anymore due to automation and so many more impossible promises.

Getting rid of the Washington Establishment, or as Donald said, "Draining the swamp" was just one more promise; instead he seems to be fishing in the swamp. Many of his cabinet picks are either part of the establishment, or Wall Street billionaires, and they're beautiful. Here's a few:

Senator Jeff Sessions the Attorney General pick joked about the Ku Klux Klan, saying they were okay until he learned they smoked marijuana.

Steve Mnuchin as Treasury Secretary, Former Goldman Sachs executive who brought a distressed California bank and foreclosed on 36,000 homeowners, the majority of which were people of color.

Education Secretary; Betsy DeVos committed to school options for students other than public schools like Charter and private. The Republican congress would like to privatize education and eliminate this department.

Health and Human Services Secretary: Representative Tom Price, dedicated to repealing Obama Care and strongly antiabortion.

Without going through all of President Elect Trump's picks, lets end with his Chief Strategist and Senior Counselor, Steve Bannon, who was the president of Breibart News which preached genetic superiority. Need I say more?

President Trump and a Republican House and Senate are poised to take America back and make it great again, as they have been saying for several years now. The reality is they have stolen most of it and are poised to take the rest. Through the years the lobbyists of the wealthy and the corporations have created a wealth and an education gap that only needed a Donald Trump for the coup de grace and the privatization of most government functions, where everything is for profit, if you can't afford it, you don't get it, What they are saying is if you're hungry then go hungry, if uneducated, then shame on you for not being able to afford it, the same goes for health care, shelter and literally everything any American citizen needs, but can't afford.

Why is it so difficult for Republicans to understand that we are a completely interdependent society, where each is dependent on another for our needs. Someone builds the roads, others grow food, some teach, some heal, some serve, and what is really hard for the Republican mantra to grasp is the passion and love that we gain from helping the needy.

What most Americans have forgotten was the fact that it was the government who created the large GDP numbers that we enjoyed after World War Two and the labor unions that generated a healthy middle class. The gradual decline of those numbers began after President Reagan decided that, "The problem with government is government."

One final thing the minority voters got for their vote, a president elect with a narcissist personality disorder. There are some in his party who recognize this and believe they can deal with it, they can't, short of threatening impeachment.

President Elect Trump has already displayed his narcissism by refusing to recognize that he got a minority of the popular vote, stating that he won by a landslide when the illegal votes are removed from the election count.

He believes that anyone who burns the American flag should be imprisoned and lose their citizenship, women and doctors should be punished for abortions, and so many more open displays of his narcissism, but the one that really defines him is his inability to understand any humor directed at him. He had to tweet about Saturday Night Live, denigrating the show and the actors in the skits about him.

He can't be accept being wrong about anything and that will ultimately lead us to an isolated nation whose successes will come from bullying, maybe even war, How many times have you heard him say, blow them up, get rid of them, punch them in the face, his dialogue even his countenance reeks of aggression during his tirades.

What first drew my attention to Donald Trump was during the republican nomination process for president and the resulting party primaries for nominating their respective presidential candidates. At that time I was writing my latest novel, "The Narcissist: A Dark Journey." As the selection process continued I saw the protagonist in the novel and Donald Trump both suffering from the same personality disorder.

The novel is complete and when it is read, the reader can, with a high degree of accuracy, predict President Elect Trump's reactions and decisions to the many issues he will be confronted with during his presidency.

The following is a brief synopsis of the book:

"The Narcissist-A Dark Journey" is a psychological trip through the psyche of one Charlotte Prentice.

She will do whatever it takes to receive the adoration and success that sustains her ever demanding personality.

Outwardly she is a woman who fights discrimination and poverty; an advocate of education and freedom. To the onlooker she is perfection. But inside, there is something darker lurking, something that pushes her single-minded plans forward without empathy.

Her life is filled with tragedies that she cleverly planned and executed, while maintaining a safe distance from them.

Her life is also filled with romances, again that she cleverly planned to nurture her successes, even in the shadow of her sexual dilemma that she must keep secret, or in her psyche, lose everything.

She and her ilk are the scourge of our society, driven to success to satisfy their needs at any cost. They are the business leaders and politicians who woo us with deceit and shallow promises. Sometimes we are amused by them. Other times we are stricken by them. But make no mistake: they are not amusing; they are calculating and dangerous.

Is she guilty of her crimes and horrific acts? In The Narcissist-A Dark Journey", the reader is both judge and jury, and finding the truth can be very complex.

Not so with President Elect Donald trump.
