In the field of after-sales service, PRESEZZI EXTRUSION GROUP Service Team has a pivotal role in securing a continuous and long-term relationship with our customers. Over the years, Presezzi Extrusion Service Team has proactively addressed customers’ ever-changing necessities and market shifts, demonstrating its high flexibility and continuous care to create and preserve fruitful collaborations with the customers.

Our expert Presezzi Extrusion Service team is available to respond in velocity and effectively to requests for maintenance repairs and operational renovations to machinery and systems, both on-site and remotely, focusing on three key factors to sustainably ensure the successful operation and the competitiveness of extrusion plant operators:

These aspects were always the real focus in developing a service offer. The customer can always choose whether he makes use of individual measures or uses a customized complete package. Our service experts provide technical advice if needed, considering prevailing framework conditions. In addition, the complete package is not rigid since we are able to react to changed circumstances at any time.

The service for extrusion plants depends on the customer’s production planning and customized services are coordinated appropriately. In other words, taking into consideration scheduled production downtimes, the services are freely combinable as regards order, frequency, and timeframe. In view of the priority’s quality, productivity, and production reliability, an individual service package can be compiled for each extrusion plant, or each machine supplied throughout the whole year.

CORE SERVICE FOR EXTRUSION PRESSES

  • PRODUCTION RELIABILITY <-> EQUIPMENT CHECK: during the equipment check Presezzi Extrusion service technicians record the conditions of the plant and coordinate the results directly on site with the plant operators. The scope includes the inspection of the mechanical single components, the hydraulics, and the lubrication systems. Based on a detailed evaluation and specific recommendations for maintenance, repair or modernization measures the plant operator can derive necessary measures in due time. In addition to that, a meaningful plant history can be established if these measures are carried out regularly.
  • PRODUCTIVITY <-> MAINTENANCE SUPPORT: based on the results of the equipment checks the Presezzi Extrusion Service Team supports the customers in implementing the measures. The realization of hydraulic, mechanical, or control-related maintenance measures is also planned as a joint effort. The service experts assist the customers also in carrying out long planned or spontaneous maintenance work whereas comprehensive manufacturer experience is incorporated. The result: the plant operators improve the condition of their plants and are able at the same time to train their service personnel.
  • QUALITY <-> ALIGNMENT CHECK: A properly aligned extrusion press is the basis for a perfect profile quality. Through regular inspections, changes can be detected at an early stage. The geometrical examination of the press is made in all axes. Here, all relevant parts are viewed against each other as regards their function and position.
  • PRODUCTIVITY <-> HYDRAULIC AND CONTROL-RELATED OPTIMIZATION: to permanently maintain the productivity of the plant at a high standard, regular hydraulic and control-related optimization is essential. This reduces non-productive times and increases output quantities. Pressure peaks are eliminated at the same time which reduces wear and minimizes the risk of plant failures.

DIGITAL TOOLS FOR SERVICE

Our digital tools allow us to identify trends and evaluate data, to determine the best possible time and scope for maintenance measures in advance.

  • DATA INGESTION SUITE: This suite, installed as standard on all PCs, is an advanced web-based telemetry system with a sampling rate of up to 20 ms. Today, the system helps onsite or remote maintenance to carry out optimizations or analyses of process problems.
  • PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PACKAGE: That has the purpose of guaranteeing the reliability and the capability of the plant by means of continuous and accurate monitoring of its conditions, giving a full view of the critical parameters affecting the machinery endurance, and supporting strategic decisions for maintenance management
  • EXCLUSIVE PRESEZZI EXTRUSION SERVICE PORTAL: a web portal to collect all types of requests (info, assistance for a problem, offers for spare parts) that the technicians of the registered customer may have in the various situations that coming on site.?With the 4 locations with technicians dedicated for Service (Italy, USA, Turkey, China) we try to give an answer as quickly as possible to the approximately 200 customers with more than 700 technicians registered that every year create more than 2000 requests.

SPARE PARTS

Presezzi Extrusion Service Team provides spare parts and inventory services to minimize downtimes of customer plants. This also includes logistic processes to find solutions to how spare parts are conveyed to the plants.
