Presentation for the Hyatt DBRG leaders

We presented to a group of Diversity Business Resource Group (DBRG) Leaders at Hyatt. The invitation came from Tyronne Stoudemire, the Senior Vice President of Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Tyronne recognizes the role personal branding plays in these leaders' professional growth and visibility and the groups they represent.

Our presentation centered on the importance of personal branding and how a well-crafted personal brand can significantly impact one's career trajectory within Hyatt. Personal branding is not just about self-promotion; it's about articulating your unique value proposition and what you stand for.

Next, it positions you for upcoming leadership roles and creates a compelling narrative that resonates with your team and the wider Hyatt community.

A focal point of our discussion was the influence of online presence in today's digital age. "You Are... Who Google Says You Are," This highlights how first impressions are often formed online. In the context of career advancement and talent acquisition, we stressed that an impactful online footprint can significantly enhance one's visibility and perceived expertise, making one a top contender for leadership positions.

Our audience of 35 leaders engaged with us in a highly interactive session.


We also explored the art of storytelling, reinforcing that individuals are much more than their job titles. We shared how stories uniquely connect on an emotional level, making complex ideas more accessible, memorable, and shareable. Through storytelling, we encouraged the leaders to craft and share their narratives, thus providing their colleagues and Hyatt's leadership with authentic and relatable insights into their professional ethos and vision.

Our presentation aimed to empower Hyatt's DBRG Leaders with the knowledge and tools to strategically shape their personal brands and narratives. By doing so, we hope to have contributed to their journey toward enhancing their professional visibility within Hyatt, inspiring their teams, and fostering a culture of inclusivity and excellence that Hyatt prides itself on.
