Mindful Wellbeing In the Workplace

Reduce stress by cultivating a practice of presence.

How can a simple practice such as presence influence the stress in our lives? It really is quite simple because it has to do with focus. When we are 100% focused and engaged in what we are doing, our brain is able to concentrate on that one thing, when this happens the structural parts of the brain responsible for various functions are able to perform fully the job at hand. Scientists have seen changes in how the brain processes information when we experience stress, manufactured or real life, our brain cannot tell the difference.

So why not do ourselves a favor and cultivate a habit of full presence to allow the brain to do the work it was meant to do and save the real stress, for those flight or fight situations?

  • less anxiety, which means a calmer mind
  • better focus
  • increased performance and accuracy
  • more confident
  • a better nights sleep
  • overall better health
