Open Houses are still an essential way for Realtors to get their listing marketed and sold. Preparation is key in ensuring that everything is in place to have a successful event. Here a few facts about an open house:
Staging
It’s imperative to have your listing look at its best. Work with your Agent beforehand to ensure that the property is decluttered and cleaned before the open house. Add some plants or other interesting items that may appeal to the guests’ sense of sight. For a preconstruction or dilapidated unit, virtually staged photos may be utilized and placed in each room to give prospective purchasers an idea of what the space will look like upon completion or with a little TLC.
Depersonalize and Put Away Valuables
A open house typically attracts persons from various backgrounds. From qualified buyers to those viewing out of curiosity. It is important that valuables be put away for safe keeping. Some open houses attract a large crowd, and it would be very challenging for the Realtor to keep a constant eye on all the attendees. Remove small valuable personal items to keep them secure “neutralize” the space so prospective buyers are better able to envision themselves living in the property.

Your Agent should have log sheets ready to note important information of r attendees such as name and contact number/email. From this list, a follow up?and generate new leads for future business. This will help your Agent to reach out to the people who visited the event in a bid to secure an offer.
