Preparing the 2084

Preparing the 2084

It is difficult to predict with certainty what trends we will see in hiring and recruitment in 2023, as it will depend on a variety of factors such as the state of the economy and the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, some potential trends that have been emerging in recent years and may continue to gain momentum include:

On the last two years the pandemic has accelerated the trend of remote work, and many companies have realized the benefits of allowing employees to work from home. As a result, we may see more companies adopt hybrid or fully remote work models, which could lead to an increase in virtual recruitment and hiring.

As we can see companies are increasingly using AI and automation to help with tasks such as screening resumes and conducting initial interviews. This trend is likely to continue, as these technologies can help companies save time and money while also providing a more efficient and consistent candidate experience.

Although there has been a loudly talk on diversity and inclusion in the workplace in recent years, this trend isn't likely to continue. Companies may say they prioritize recruiting and hiring candidates from underrepresented groups, and focus on creating an inclusive culture and environment in which all employees can thrive as well, but the coming socio economical times are going to test this trend.

Greater use of gig workers: Companies are increasingly using gig workers, such as freelancers and contract workers, to fill short-term or project-based roles. This trend may continue, as it allows companies to be more flexible and adapt to changing business needs.

With the increasing use of automation, companies may place more emphasis on recruiting candidates with soft skills, such as creativity, problem-solving, and communication. That could lead as well to a employee retention and satisfaction policy based on flexible working, four day work, hiring?partially skilled workers to be trained for the remaining skills.

We can't say if the gig economy is going to help the diversity and inclusion, but with the visible transformation of the hiring and recruiting market, the need for different and new roles we can preview an easy induction for multi-faceted workers.
