Prepared for cold forming with the Felss online training courses

The quality requirements for lightweight components, such as those used in the automotive sector, are becoming increasingly stringent. High-precision processes such as rotary swaging and axial forming are therefore more relevant than ever in the automotive industry. As lightweight construction experts for cold forming, we now also pass on our technological know-how about this to decision-makers and users on site in special online training courses: to designers and developers, but also to buyers, planners and machine operators.

Where technology is constantly being perfected, the demands on components are also growing. In automotive, industry, aerospace and precision mechanics, the demand is therefore: even more precise, even more resilient, even faster, even more resource-efficient. Everything stands and falls with the chosen processes – they define the limits of what is feasible. However, these limits are being reached more and more frequently with conventional processes such as turning and other machining technologies taught in (high) school education.?

Far from the mainstream, the Felss Group has therefore specialised in two processes in particular, which bring numerous advantages in both technical and economic terms: Axial forming and rotary swaging. But only those who know them can also use these advantages. That is why we have developed our own live online training programme with which users and decision-makers in companies can learn the basics right through to the application of these chipless cold forming processes.

Live trainings for single participants and groups

As the first manufacturer ever, Felss teaches the basics of axial forming and rotary swaging in its training programme. Initially, two programmes are available for interested parties: FelssStart for beginners without prior knowledge and FelssPro for experienced technicians and engineers with design training. Individual participants and entire groups or departments can take part in both training programmes.

Both FelssStart and FelssPro are designed as online trainings, but can also be booked as face-to-face training or as a hybrid event if desired. While the basic training can take place with any number of participants, we recommend a group size of up to 10 participants for the intensive training. However, larger groups are also possible on request.

Learn from experts, become a professional yourself!

All training contents are clearly conveyed by our experienced trainer Peter Karch, Dipl. Ing. (FH) Mechanical Engineering, using examples, videos and pictures tailored to the participants – either in German or in English. The learning objective of the training is for each candidate to be able to recognise suitable components for cold forming in their own portfolio, to know how to use the axial forming and rotary swaging processes for their own projects and to implement them in existing concepts. As proof of this, each participant receives a certificate. In addition, training documents help to deepen what has been learned and serve as a practical reference book in everyday work.
