Prepare for success: how to energise your actions and supercharge your business for the new season

As business owners, especially those of us who lead with heart, soul and purpose, we know the importance of planning for a new season. It is great to follow our hearts and be in the flow, but having structure and developing the habit of persistency can make a whole lot of a difference.

With September just around the corner, many of us are gearing up for the next big push in our businesses.

But how do we ensure that the actions we take now set us up for success in the months to come?

It’s not just about what we do; it’s about how we do it. The energy and intention behind our actions can make it or break it. Whether you’re launching a new offer, reconnecting with your audience, or scaling your operations, the way you prepare and execute your plan will determine your results.

Today I’ll share key strategies to help you energise your actions and prepare your business for a successful new season.

1. Set a heart-led Intention

Before diving into planning, let's first take a step back and reflect on what you truly want to achieve. Ask yourself:

  • What is the impact I want to make in the next three-four months?
  • How do I want to feel as I work toward this goal?

Setting a heart-led intention is about aligning your actions with your deeper purpose. When your goals are connected to your core values, and when you follow the cycles of expansion and contraction that are unique to you, you’re more likely to stay motivated and energised, even when challenges arise.

Tip: Write down your intention and keep it visible. This will serve as a constant reminder of why you’re taking action.

2. Energise your daily routine

The way you start your day sets the tone for everything that follows. If you begin with energy and clarity, you’re more likely to take effective, focused action throughout the day.

Consider adding these elements to your morning routine - or at any time of the day, before you start working on your business tasks:

  • Mindfulness: Spend a few minutes in meditation or deep breathing to center yourself.
  • Movement: Engage in light exercise to get your blood flowing and boost your energy.
  • Journaling: Write down your thoughts, goals, and gratitude to set a positive mindset.

Tip: Keep your routine simple and consistent. The goal is to energise, not overwhelm.

3. Clear the energy clutter

Clutter - both physical and mental - can drain your energy and hinder your focus. Take time to declutter your workspace and organise your thoughts.

  • Physical Declutter: Spend 15 minutes tidying up your desk or digital workspace. A clear space can lead to a clear mind.
  • Mental Declutter: Jot down any lingering thoughts or worries and address one each day. This practice can help you free up mental space for creativity and strategic thinking.

Tip: Make decluttering a regular practice. The less clutter you have, the more energy you’ll free up for productive action.

4. Plan your energised actions

With your intention set and your space cleared, it’s time to map out your actions. Break down your goals into specific, manageable steps, and prioritise them based on what will have the biggest impact.

  • Identify key actions: What are the most important steps you need to take to move closer to your goal? Focus on 3-5 key actions.
  • Schedule them: Assign these actions to specific days or times. Make them non-negotiable appointments with yourself.

Tip: Start with the actions that excite you the most. When you’re energised by what you’re doing, you’re more likely to follow through.

5. Take one bold, heart-led action

Finally, don’t be afraid to take bold steps outside your comfort zone. Whether it’s launching a new product or a new Skool community, reaching out to a potential client, or sharing a vulnerable story, bold actions are often the catalysts for significant growth.

Tip: Accept yourself, embrace your imperfection. Bold action doesn’t have to be perfect; it just has to be done.
