Premier League Match Day 5 Preview

Premier League Match Day 5 Preview

The Premier League resumes this weekend with Matchday 5 due to start this Saturday 14th September. The match of the weekend will be Manchester United's clash against high-flying Leicester City at Old Tafford on Saturday. Apart from their opening day 4-0 thrashing of Chelsea, United have not looked good this season but a victory over the Foxes could allow them to kick-start their campaign. Leicester meanwhile will be going all out to upset Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's charges in order to prove to the public that they are truly capable of challenging for a top six finish this season.

The Foxes have so far looked good this season and remain unbeaten, having won two games and drawn two. Many pundits expected Brendan Rodgers team to challenge for a place in the top six this season and they are so far living up to expectations but time will tell whether they will maintain their current level of confidence. Liverpool and Manchester City will be expected to win their games against Newcastle United and Norwich City respectively.

Tottenham will get a chance to kick-start their campaign when they face off against Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. Mauricio Pochettino's side have endured a sluggish start to the season after having won just one out of their four League games to date. The international break gives them an opportunity to now start their season in earnest this weekend. If they carry on dropping points, they will soon already be out of the title race this season and will once again have to settle with just challenging for a place in the top four.

Arsenal have a good opportunity to return to winning ways on Sunday when they face off against bottom of the pile Watford at the Emirates. The Gunners started the season strongly, playing fluid football and winning their first two games of the season but they are without a win during the previous two League games, after having lost comprehensively against Liverpool three weeks ago before fighting back nicely to record a 2-2 draw against North London rivals Tottenham two weeks ago.
