PREHEATER REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT
Barnhart was contracted to remove and replace two identical U-shaped heat exchangers at a chemical plant from a location in a structure approximately 25' feet from the ground. The team set up gantries to support an elevated slide system outside the structure
Pull-up jacks were used to lift the heat exchanger from its location to the slide system. It was a congested area with tight jacking clearances requiring detailed engineering. There was less an inch beneath the slide system and the client removed piping above the exchangers to make the removal and replacement possible. The slide system had to accommodate the unusual U-shape of the exchanger.
The old exchanger was offloaded by crane and the new exchanger was set to the slide system for installation. The process was repeated later for the second exchanger.

1 年Very handy machine. I remember doing many shell and all replacement jobs the hard way. Either chain falls, comalongs, air tuggers and snatch blocks, panzer rollers and track systems Porta power Jack's and long rigging through stuff above you with a crane.or tareing a bunch of crap up above you too get stuff out below you.this is very useful great idea.
