One part of my practice is negotiating Employment Agreements for resident and fellow physicians. Frequently they have questions related to pregnancy, particularly when they are pregnant during the contract negotiation process or plan to be pregnant soon after starting their first job. Jeremy Farrell often joins to advise clients on these issues and he and I recently collaborated on an article titled “Pregnancy-Related Protections for New Physicians” that was featured in the in the Legal Summary section of the June 2022 Allegheny County Medical Society (ACMS) Bulletin. The ACMS Bulletin is the Allegheny County Medical Society’s signature publication which reaches over 2,000 physicians in Southwestern Pennsylvania each month.
