Predictive analytics Vs Real time analytics

As a biostatistician, predictive analytics is of immense interest to me. Of even greater interest is the dilemma in choosing between real time analytics Vs predictive analytics. In my opinion, real time analytics fits in more easily in some populations, because it measures what the data is saying in a longitudinal fashion. Predictive analytics is of immense use for large corporations like Amazon and Google because they have a healthy buffer of capital and an appetite for risk. In such corporations, predictive analytics might find a place for business strategy and planning. With the exception of major disrupting factors, predictive analytics will serve the purpose well for established corporations, while real time analytics is of use to smaller and medium enterprises.
