Prediction for 2025: The Rise of AI Factories 1

I have a single prediction for the future: The Rise of Hoteltech AI Factories. Hotel SaaS platforms must evolve into these factories or face obsolescence. The world will become more comfortable, instantaneous, and fast paced as ever before.

As we look toward 2025, the trajectory of hotel technology is not just evolving it's poised to revolutionize the industry with what I call AI Factories. This isn't merely a shift in software deployment but a fundamental reimagining of how we conceive of and implement technology within the hospitality sector.

Innovative Agent Makers and Integrations

Here’s where it gets exciting: specialized "Agent Makers" will craft two pivotal types of AI products. First, we have Autonomous Agents think of these as your tireless, ever-efficient hotel staff who don't take breaks. Then there are the AI tools, designed to supercharge your existing employees' capabilities with super powers allowing them to perform with what might seem like superhuman efficiency.

Forget the old battles with clunky configurations and endless customization requests. The AI Factories of the future will automate and streamline these processes. This shift means that hotel technology will not only respond in real-time to operational demands but will continually evolve, effortlessly integrating new features and resolving integration issues on a daily basis.

Agents as a Services, at the Front Desk and Beyond

Imagine AI Agents that manage customer interactions with a blend of impeccable precision and personal touch. These agents will handle everything from basic inquiries to complex booking dynamics, ensuring that every guest feels both understood and valued.

It reminds me of Dr. Know from the movie "AI: Artificial Intelligence.":

Here 4 scenarios most likely to become normal for hotels:

  1. AI drastically reduces sales teams by half as it effectively handles prospecting and follow-ups, shifting sales focus to high-level strategy and relationships. This scenario reflects ongoing trends in AI where repetitive tasks like prospecting can be automated, allowing sales teams to focus on strategic interactions that require human insight and relationship building.
  2. AI-generated content overwhelms platforms, forcing a return to human curation to manage content quality and distribution. Hotels might use AI to generate promotional content, guest communications, and even personalized travel tips, but will need human oversight to ensure the content maintains quality and relevance.
  3. Custom AI training becomes a strategic asset, emphasizing superior data collection and user understanding over advanced algorithms. For hotels, custom AI solutions that are trained on specific property data and guest preferences can significantly enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  4. SaaS products evolve into AI agent platforms in 2025, integrating or becoming obsolete. In my previous post, I already discussed this topic, for the hotel industry, this could mean a shift towards more integrated and intelligent platforms that manage everything from reservations to guest services, requiring less human intervention and offering more personalized guest experiences.

A Call to Action for Tech Companies

If your company is in the tech space and hasn't yet started hiring AI developers or integrating AI with your existing development team, let me be clear: you are falling behind. In today's rapidly evolving tech landscape, being proactive about AI isn't just an advantage it's a necessity. The time to act is now, not when AI factories become the standard.

As Seth Godin might say, this is a chance to challenge the status quo in ways that will set the standards for the future of travel tech. The rise of AI Factories isn't just an evolution, it's a revolution that will define the next chapter of hospitality. Let’s lead it with confidence and ensure that we are not just participants but pioneers in this transformative era.

Stay tuned and Happy New Year!

A friend, Pedro Moreira, works in a factory which build bots. This isn't something new it's simply the natural progression of technology.
