It's that time of year again!! The time when everyone and their brother comes out with either a look back or a look forward or both.
Personally, I love this time of year. I know a lot of people roll their eyes as one organization after another publishes their attention whoring report. In my opinion, there are always valuable nuggets of information in the results from the past year - and the predictions for the year ahead.
As a result, I am creating this growing list of reports as a point of reference, and a way to look back at the end of 2020 - this time next year.
Have a report/list to share? Send it on over and I'll add it below. Cheers & Happy New Year!
20 Big Ideas that will Change Your World in 2020 - Isabelle Roughol. The first item on her list really resonated with me. Time is my most precious commodity, and also why my client's rely on my experiential expertise. Giving people the ability to take some of their time back will continue to be a thing of value that is hard to come by.
The Fastest Growing Brands of 2019 - Morning Consult. This requires a download (so ya gotta give up your name & email); but it's worth a peek to see which brands landed on top for the year. The top 5 - Door Dash; White Claw(!); PostMates; Impossible; Venmo.
The 5 Biggest Digital Marketing Trends as we enter 2020 - Jeff Bullas. "54% of consumers want to see more video content." - It may just be me, but my time is so limited, that I'm happy to see video content, but I want less fluff. Less bullshit. Cut to the chase and get to the damn point, cuz I got shit to do! All 5 of Jeff's trends are solid, I'm particularly partial to number 5 - Marketing as an experience. If you're going to take up my time & attention marketing to me, it better be worth it.
The Pinterest 100 for 2020 - Pinterest. This is a VERY varied list based on what Pinterest sees folks searching for on Pinterest. Anything from non-binary searches (unisex nurseries and gender neutral haircuts for example) to the home hub (WFH wear, anyone? What's that -- work from home wear, of course. Essentially, what I'm wearing at the moment!)
10 Business Travel Trends for 2020 - Skift & TripActions. Experience, experience, experience. That's my main takeaway from this report - though, as an experience curator, I am biased. From the ease of use of corporate travel & expense tool's. To the combining of business & leisure travel; affectionately called 'bleisure'. Anyone who travels for business frequently will tell you - making the experience as smooth as possible, is the key to those who are on the go.
