Be Predictable

In vehicle traffic, there's a saying: "I don’t want you to be courteous; I want you to be predictable."
The same principle applies to Supply Chain operations. Predictability is more valuable than inconsistency, even if the average outcome seems acceptable.
Steady production rates are better than occasional exceptional output followed by downtime.
Reliable raw material deliveries are more effective than fluctuating early and late arrivals.
Consistent transport resources far outweighs the inconsistent arrival and departure times.
Ultimately, consistent performance over time surpasses erratic highs and lows.
Strive to be predictable (and courteous).?
