PRECISION LIFTING IN PRAGUE: HOW THE UNIC-095 ECO CRANE HELPED BRING ART TO LIFE

UNIC Cranes Europe, in partnership with our trusted dealer KMB STAVEBNI SERVIS s.r.o., played a key role in the installation of a stunning bronze sculpture at the (A)Void Gallery on the Rasinovo embankment in Prague. This intricate project highlighted the unique capabilities of the UNIC-095 ECO mini spider crane, showing its precision, compact design, and eco-friendly operation.

Architect Petr Janda from Brainwork Studio approached KMB with a unique challenge; carefully manoeuvring the sculpture into one of Prague’s historic dungeons. These reconstructed spaces, originally warehouses for goods brought into Prague by ship, have been transformed into cultural hubs featuring glass revolving doors with elliptical designs. The entry point for the sculpture was particularly delicate, as it needed to pass through a semicircular glass lens without causing any damage.

Although the sculpture was not massive, its complex proportions required a lifting solution that could handle defined and controlled movements in a confined space – without risking damage to the surrounding structure.

For this sensitive installation, KMB selected the UNIC-095 ECO mini spider crane, a zero-emission, battery-powered machine known for its compact size and lifting capabilities. The crane’s slim frame and tracked design allowed it to navigate the tight space easily, while its precision controls ensured sympathetic handling of the sculpture.
