I arrived early to see a client in East Grinstead and noticing a sign for a café, I decided to stop by to have some chai.
The café was in a church and – not realising that one of the double doors was open – I pressed the bell, and a lovely lady came to let me in.
I asked for a cuppa and they made me one. It was 50p but I didn’t have change. They said: “Don’t worry – you can have it on us”.
Their warmth and understanding touched me so I donated ￡20 to the church. They thanked me and then showed me around the various rooms and the main chapel. After 20 minutes the place was packed with locals.
They told me how they welcome the homeless in for warmth and food too.
There is a message here for us as individuals and businesses. Their generosity was bringing in funds for the church – they were winning due to kindness and knowing how to treat customers. Something to sit back and think about.

7 年Great post Rakesh. As Jesus said - As you sow, so shall you reap - a multifold. They are doing it from the heart. As entrepreneurs do the same, it is amazing to see what happens to their businesses - their growth rates are "out of this world"!! Something that Global Innovators Ltd promote with their partners.
