COVID-19 aka Coronavirus has hit our world firmly. We all are aware of what it has done to many parts of the world and how the disease is contagious.
Field service operations and employees are on the verge of infection as they are exposed to direct contact with customers.
We have come up with a set of preventive measures to be followed to stay safe. Follow the guidelines closely.
Safety Measures to be Followed By Field Technicians
Maintain 6-feet distance
Educate your field technicians to maintain 6-feet distance from the customers. Your technicians may not know who is affected by the workers, so encourage them to maintain a safe distance of 6-feet.
Masks, Hand Sanitizers, and Gloves
Resources such as face masks, goggles, hand sanitizers, and gloves should be used for extra caution. Make sure to replace face masks and gloves after a single-use. If both are reusable sterilize it completely before your next use.
A Perfect Policy
A set of instructions like regular temperature checks, use of hand sanitizers before attending a service, asking your customers about any infected person at their home, washing hands with disinfectant after attending a service must be strictly observed.
Stay Home, Stay Safe
There may be employees who are old, and few employees may be sick. Instead of demanding them to work on the pandemic situation, give them the rest that is needed. By doing this, you are giving them the space to heal and also preventing the infection that can spread to other healthy technicians.
Keep Yourself Updated

Be Proactive
As the pandemic is a life-threatening situation, local and state government rules can be changing regularly. Keep an eye on these regulations and follow them for a sustainable and hygienic environment.
Educate Employees
Many of your employees may not be aware of the new regulations. Try to get them notified and make sure they have understood it to the fullest.
Encourage Work From Home
Make way to employees who can complete their work from their home. Staying home is staying safe and they can work for you better.
A Pilot Team
Due to the virus outbreak, it is impossible to monitor your employees. Select a pilot team that will be responsible for the employee's request and any other information to be communicated to them.
