Pre-re:Invent keynote announcements for multi-accounts strategy

This is a big week; it’s re:Invet 2022 NOV. 28 – DEC. 2, 2022 | LAS VEGAS, NV. Only a few hours before the Adam Slipsky keynote session today at 16:30-18:30 (GMT). Many announcements are already out, and more to come; yesterday and early this morning, I saw 64?new launches.. amazing :-) !

There is no way to cover all announcements in one post. But I want to highlight a few announcements that focus on multi accounts strategy. As it will help and support AWS customers who are adopting this strategy.

1.????Amazon VPC Reachability Analyzer now supports network reachability analysis across accounts in an AWS Organization

Now you can use Amazon VPC Reachability Analyzer? to troubleshoot and analysis network reachability across all your account under same organization.

2.????Announcing comprehensive controls management with AWS Control Tower (Preview)

This new announcement will enhances AWS Control Tower’s governance capabilities and you can more quickly vet, allow-list, and begin using AWS services. In most case cloud architects need to identify any risks and implement controls before allowing developer accessing their AWS environment . With this new launch?You can use it to apply managed preventative, detective, and proactive controls to accounts and organizational units (OUs) by service, control objective, or compliance framework.?AWS Control Tower does the mapping between them on your behalf, saving time and effort. 3.????Introducing account customization within AWS Control Tower

Now you can customize your newly launched accounts ?by account factory to meet your business needs. This new feature will allow you to define and implement custom account requirements as part of a well-defined account factory workflow, and immediately start using the account after it is provisioned. AWS Control Tower automates the entire process on your behalf, freeing you from the need to build and maintain costly deployment pipelines.

4.????Amazon CloudWatch launches cross-account observability across multiple AWS accounts

This new announcement will enhance your cross-account observability across Amazon CloudWatch to help you monitor and troubleshoot applications that span multiple AWS accounts within an AWS Region. You?can now monitor , search.?visualize,?and analyze your metrics, logs, and traces without any account boundaries. For more details please check this blog post

5.????Announcing delegated administrator for AWS Organizations

That is a big one as it allow you to delegated administrator for AWS Organizations to help in the management of your Organizations policies, enabling you to govern your AWS organization and member accounts with increased agility and decentralization.

6.????AWS Backup launches delegation of organization-wide backup administration

Now you can use AWS Backup across your AWS organization and delegate the administration tasks. This removes the need for your member accounts to access management account for backup administration on behalf of their organization.
