Prayer for Grace Empowerment

Grace Empowerment leads a team of faithful brothers and sisters for hosting the Alpha course on Zoom meeting at US EST Tuesday night. We notice that several guests living in East Asia were not able to join the Alpha course because of our time difference. Most of them needed to go to school or work. In addition, several messenger guests request Grace Empowerment to provide the Alpha course at WhatsApp because their phone have small data bandwidth. They would not be able to access Alpha zoom conference.

Therefore, Grace Empowerment has decided to host Alpha Course using WhatsApp group. We post the SD video link every Thursday at the Alpha group so that the guest can access the video link at his/her convenience. The goal of Grace Empowerment is to provide FREE Alpha course to the guest so that he/she can have a chance to explore life and the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal online environment. The Alpha groups provide a channel to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to the group member Himself.

Jesus read: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” (Luke 4:18-19)

Grace Empowerment is a not-for-profit Christian Organization started at 2013 at Chelmsford, MA, USA. Our volunteers proclaim good news to the poor. We have no means of financial support. Most volunteers are tent-makers and serve at Grace Empowerment for free.

However, one guest challenges Grace Empowerment why we do not donate money for the poor: First, we would not donate any money to a stranger. Second, God wants Grace Empowerment to be the good steward for His possession on earth.

Jesus gave detailed instruction to His disciple before sending them out: “12 As you enter the home, give it your greeting. 13 If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 14 If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet…I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” (Matthew 10)

Please pray for Grace Empowerment and ask God to give the wisdom and discernment to Grace Empowerment and do not let the mischievous people take advantage of our kind, caring and forgiving volunteers. Pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
