PRAY WITH US FOR THE STATE OF THE NATION NIGERIA!

WHICH IS THE BEST WAY FORWARD FOR NIGERIA?

In the light of the experience of six decades after independence, the military incursions into governance, a 48-month civil war, the imposition of a military-designed constitution, full of Edicts, modified and retained; Is it not time overdue for a new constitution to be drafted, discussed, debated and written for a new Nigeria? We keep on referring to the 1999 Consitution, as ammended, citing various sections of the same document, which has been assessed as being inappropriate in many aspects.

Considering the economy and the available resources, should we continue the wastage, moreso with the obvious decline in oil? With the realisation of abundant solid mineral resources across the country, should the Federal government continue to control these resources?

With 744 Local government areas, 36 State Assemblies and 36 State Governors with Deputies, Commissioners, and several Heads of the various State Governments; 109 Senators and 360 House of Representative Members; Should we continue to waste public funds on remuneration of the huge size of Legislators and administrative support staff? What should we do as a forward looking nation?

1. Cut Coats according to Cloth affordable. 2. Stop Presidential System and adopt Parliamentary System. 3. Continue Presidential System with size reduction and modifications. 4.
