Pray for Leaders

Join me in praying for our leaders, elected or appointed.

Pray for leaders to do the right things at the right time.

Pray for leaders to listen to good and many advisors.

Pray for leaders to be responsive to people who are marginalized.

Pray for leaders to be as wise as possible.

Pray for leaders not to make big blunders.

Pray for leaders to be put in check when they do.

Pray for leaders to operate daily within the system of checks and balances.

Pray for leaders to follow the laws and uphold the rights of people.

Pray for leaders to tell the truth or be caught in untruth.

Pray for leaders to be healthy.

Pray for leaders to be awake and alert.

Pray for leaders to be curious about details and complexities.

Pray for leaders to hear sensible advisors.

Pray for leaders to be successful and rewarded when they act with compassion and integrity.

Pray for leaders to have courage when they do what is just.

Pray for leaders to grow in office and outperform our expectations.

Pray for leaders to become more tenderhearted.

Pray for leaders to have good people in their lives.

Pray for leaders to be accountable.

Pray for leaders to be the leaders we need and not always what we deserve.

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;

enjoying one moment at a time;

accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;

taking, as He did, this sinful world

as it is, not as I would have it;

trusting that He will make all things right

if I surrender to His Will;

that I may be reasonably happy in this life

and supremely happy with Him

forever in the next.
