Praque Heritages Past and Present Conference. 28th-30th june,2023

I recently had the privilege of participating in the Prague Heritages Past and Present- Conference, held from June 28th to 30th in Prague, Czech Republic. As a delegate at the conference, I presented a comprehensive study titled "The Impact of Saudi Arabian Urban Policies and Urban Design Components on Historic Areas: The Case Study of Jeddah Historic Downtown."

My research delved into the fascinating relationship between urban policies and urban design components implemented in Saudi Arabia, with a specific focus on their impact on historic areas. Using Jeddah's historic downtown as a case study, I examined how Saudi Arabian urban policies and design choices have shaped the preservation, revitalization, and sustainable development of this significant cultural heritage site.

Through extensive research and analysis, I explored the various challenges and opportunities associated with the preservation of historic areas in the context of evolving urban environments. By examining the specific strategies employed in Jeddah, I shed light on the successful integration of modern urban policies and design components within a historically rich context, ultimately resulting in the preservation of cultural heritage while accommodating contemporary urban needs.

Presenting my findings at the Prague Conference was an exceptional opportunity to share my expertise and contribute to the discourse on urban heritage conservation. It was an honor to engage with fellow professionals, scholars, and enthusiasts who share a passion for preserving and celebrating our global heritage.
