"A Pragmatic View: Uniting Against the Real Enemy—Hamas & Hezbollah"

I don’t want to offend anyone or take a simplistic view of a very complex situation. Still, the current conflict between Pro-Palestinian movements and Pro-Israeli Defence supporters has led to a significant divide in public opinion. However, when we take a pragmatic approach, it’s evident that both sides ultimately share a common goal—the safety and well-being of innocent civilians. While these groups may seem at odds, the real enemy isn’t the Palestinian people or the Israeli forces. It’s terrorist organisations like Hamas and Hezbollah.
Hamas, recognised by Australia, the EU, the US, and others as a terrorist organisation, exploits the situation for its gain, spreading fear and violence that harm both Israelis and Palestinians. Similarly, Hezbollah operates under an extremist agenda, destabilising the region and thriving on continued violence, making peace difficult for civilians on either side.
By taking a step back and trying to make sense of this bigger picture, it becomes clear that efforts should focus on dismantling these terrorist groups, which are the real drivers of conflict. Pro-Palestinian and Pro-Israeli advocates should unite in acknowledging that peace can only be achieved by addressing the threat posed by Hamas and Hezbollah, ensuring a future where innocent people are no longer caught in the crossfire of terror.
This pragmatic view highlights that lasting progress requires confronting terrorism, not furthering division.

5 个月Carmelo, firstly a very insightful and well written statement and totally agree with your sentiment here. The real problem is the distortion of fact and brainwashing of innocent Parties by extremist fanatical groups who support the Terrorists. These Leftist groups are everywhere and in Australia inciting trouble. The other more recent fact is that there are such a large majority in Gaza and Lebanon who also support these Terrorists. Therefore, as you say a very complex issue but the innocent Parties in Gaza and Lebanon by all reports appear to be the minority. I seriously do believe that Israel is doing the job of the Western world to irradicate these terrorists and deserve far more support than what they are currently getting.
