Questions of the week:??What is the process of finding ideas of Delete, Delegate and Automate in our existing System?
I write this article based on the insight of my conversation with my team in our monthly 1-on-1 call. I speak with each one of my team members. This article is to share the question of this week and our method to work on it. You can subscribe to the Building Our Team newsletter (2300+ subscribers)

What is the process of finding ideas of Delete, Delegate and Automate in our existing System?
The most practical way to do this is to do at least give yourself? 10 sessions which means 10 days.?
Ideally, this session should be 30 minutes but if you are too busy 15 minutes minimum, if you can give an hour it will be amazing so that you can craft your ideas better.?
Each session will look something like this Let's say 15 minutes so 5 min for deletion, 5 min for delegation and 5 min for automation going in that order only because deletion will automatically remove out of delegate and automation.
The life cycle of a system goes something like this: first, you do the work, then you create a system so that you can delegate the work, then you delegate the work and then afterwards, you can automate it.?

Until and unless you cannot delegate the work you cannot automate it technically afterwards once you create a habit then you can do it quickly and transition from doing to automating in your mind and within minutes.
The first thing is to give that 10 days to yourself and give an equal amount of time for each part. You will use a written method and write it on paper.
Writing is a slow process so while writing, you can get some data points. Just do this activity as a process. In a few sessions in the initial days you might end up only taking notes and not coming up with ideas which is absolutely fine but on the day that it clicks there will be three to four ideas that will pop up, and then you can work it out.
This is step 1 of the process. Afterwards, you will get into step 2. It is giving yourself atleast 3 sessions. In these 3 sessions, we will have a call of 30 minutes with 3 different colleagues. It doesn't matter in which department they are, just they need to have an idea of what the system is, and you will walk them through each idea of delete, delegate and automate.?
While walking them, they are supposed to give you feedback. If they have any questions, answer the questions. So what happens in this process is there will be some other lightbulb moment & and then you will be able to get new better ideas.
So, I am giving you this simple process of 2 steps. 10 + 3 = 13 i.e. 13 days, so you have 60 days. Follow the process anything more than 7 for every 10 points under delete, delegate and automate is good enough for this experiment.
