Do you ever find yourself struggling to make decisions, whether it's in your work or personal life? I used to be the same way, until I started trusting my instincts more.
For me, one way to build trust with myself and my intuition has been to let my eyes select the colors I use when doing my work (I always have a box of colorful pens on hand!). By paying attention to what my eyes see first and trusting that response, I'm building a stronger connection between my brain and body. This has helped me make decisions more confidently, not just in my creative work, but in all areas of my life.?Of course, I still edit and sometimes change the color for the final work, but my initial pass includes a deeper level of ideation.
At first, this approach might seem counterintuitive. After all, isn't it better to carefully plan out every detail of a project or decision? But in my experience, by letting go of that need for control and trusting my instincts, I'm able to take more creative risks and produce work that feels more authentic to me.

Trusting my instincts in this way has led to more enjoyment and fulfillment in my work. By letting go of preconceived notions and allowing myself to experiment freely, I'm able to create work that I feel good about and that resonates with others. And most importantly, I'm building trust with myself and my intuition, which has translated into more confident decision-making in all areas of my life.
If you want to give it a go, start by trusting your eyes to pick colors for your note taking during a meeting, a to-do list for a project, or simply to write yourself an inspiring note each day.
