"Practice what you preach, if not change your speech."
So this is the story: I asked this guy to get his life insurance.?
He got full coverage on medical insurance, but he does not have life insurance. So, as a financial consultant, I tried to understand his reason for not getting his life insurance. It is my duty to give advice and to educate. He has a young son and wife to take care of. His wife is also working, but their monthly commitments are high, they didn't get to save much after each month. So he felt that he could not commit to additional insurance at this point of time.?
I could understand his concerns but I am worried if something serious happen, his family might have to suffer the consequences. So I continued the discussion to let him know the importance of a life insurance plan.?
And he asked me, "I am very curious, I have met so many agents and I wondered, how much insurance do agents have?"?

I am a strong believer of insurance. I know that different people might have different views on insurance but to me, insurance is an affordable and easy way to transfer potential risks in life away to a third party, the insurance company.?
I asked for annual reviews with my clients, and of course, I do my own annual review as well. I am not afraid to show him what I have, because I know, I am well-protected.?And for those reading and wondering what is well-protected, rule of thumb will be 10 times your annual income, but it depends on your life stage and situation.
At the end of the day, I left it to him to take ownership and act on what is supposed to be. I stand firm on my belief in "practice what you preach, if not change your speech."?Whatever advice I gave, I am also taking it for myself too.
