There is still time to book onto tomorrow’s co-coaching session. Practise your coaching in a safe and supportive online space.
What to expect:
Following a quick check in, we will use breakout rooms in triads to practise and receive feedback on our coaching.? Everyone gets a turn to coach, be coached and observe for about 15 minutes each, with 5 minutes feedback.
Come prepared to coach and also with a coaching question to be coached on. The primary purpose of the session is for the benefit of the coach, so when being coached remember you might not get resolution to your issue in a 15-minute session.? You might need to take any unresolved issues to your own coach or supervisor.
As this is for your development as a coach, I'd suggest thinking in advance about what you want to practise - a new coaching technique for example, or a specific coaching skill or competency. I'd recommend asking the observer to lookout for anything specific you want feedback on before you start.
When giving feedback, it is really helpful to affirm one or two things you liked about the coaching, and one development area, along the lines of "what I really liked about your coaching was x and x, and it would be even better if x."
At the end of 60-mins break out room, we reconvene for a quick debrief, give thanks and we are on our way.? All done and dusted in 90 minutes.
