A Practical Guide to the Digital Product Passport

All companies selling their products in the European market must comply with digital product passport (DPP) requirements by 2030. In this edition of the Arena Talk Newsletter, we share a comprehensive guide to #DPP, as well as:

  • why #timetovalue matters for software and how to shorten it
  • strategies for how to successfully source alternate parts
  • tips on how to use Arena to comply with DPP

... and more.

European organizations are currently shaping the role of #digitalproductpassport—an environmental mandate established to collect and electronically share detailed product information to promote transparency and support the transition to a circular economy.

Despite DPP being driven by various European Union (EU) legislation, it’s not restricted to just European-based companies. Any product that enters the EU market must comply with the related legislation and carry an associated DPP.

In this ebook, we take a closer look at what DPP is all about.

Arena Talk Tip of the Month
Arena Talk Tip of the Month

The digital product passport is an initiative by the European Union aimed at enhancing transparency and sustainability in product value chains. Effective 2024, nearly all products sold in the EU are required to feature a DPP.

Use Arena Requirements to document DPP requirements and link them with supporting evidence. Arena can manage all your revision-controlled information including the information you make publicly available to support transparency. For unique product information like the identifier and country of origin, Arena can programmatically get that information from other systems, like ERP, for speed and accuracy.
