Practical drone terms

Some useful?terms to help you get familiar with drones faster.

Multi-rotor:?It is a kind of rotor aircraft with more than two rotor axes, and usually?multi-rotor has four rotors, six rotors, eight rotors?and so on.

Pitch: A remote control by the Mode2 right lever controls up and down , and push lever controls aircraft to fly forward/backward.

Roll: A remote control by the Mode2?right lever controls left and right , and push lever controls aircraft to fly left or right.

Yaw: A remote control by the Mode2?left lever controls?left and right , which controls the drone's left/right rotation.

Crash: An accident in which an aircraft crashes into obstacles or falls due to operational problems or mechanical failures during flight or takeoff or landing is referred to as crash.

Flying: Usually refers to flying smoothly without any accidents during the flight.

One-click release: It usually refers to the loss of the UAV during one-click return. The reason for the release may be the collision with an obstacle, interference of the compass or loss of GPS signal.

Channel: It is the channel through which signals are transmitted in the communication system. As multiple aircraft in a site use the same channel, the graph transmission will interfere with each other.

Overdischarge: If the battery continues to discharge after it reaches the cut-off voltage, irreversible damage is caused inside the battery.

Pressure difference: The UAV lithium battery is composed of several cells in series and parallel. Usually, the voltage of the cell is similar, and the difference between the highest and lowest voltage of the cell is the pressure difference. If the pressure difference is too large, the battery should not be used.
