Supporting young people to consider a career in Public Relations (PR)
Last week we had the huge pleasure of hosting a stand at the Hayes School, Bromley careers fair. For a full day we spoke to young people from the age of 11 to 18 explaining what public relations is, how the courses they are currently doing relate to a career in PR and how they might access a career in public relations when they leave school.
Not one to miss an opportunity we engaged the young people in one of our projects. We're currently ?working with Kent and Medway Violence Reduction Unit with their communications to help reduce the likelihood of children and young people participating in violent behaviour. So we asked the young people we met some questions including, where they go for trusted information, who would they talk to if they knew a friend was getting themselves involved in violence and how would they persuade them to stop. We'll be feeding all of their feedback into our project. Watch this space!

"I'd like to say a huge thank you to the teachers at Hayes School for hosting us and all of the other brilliant businesses we met. There are such great opportunities for the future of our young people and we need to easily explain what they are so that we broaden accessibility to everyone."
There were a host of other brilliant organisations and businesses at the career fair including HM Revenue & Customs apprenticeships, the Head of News at the UK Ministry of Defence , Successful Mums Career Academy , Bromley Healthcare CIC Ltd and many more.
