PPP Finland takes over the Early Bird distribution activity from Sanoma

The Belgian owned distribution company PPP Finland Oy, already operating in Finland's Ostrobothnia and Western Uusimaa region, will buy Sanoma Media Finland's Earlybird distribution business in Central Uusimaa. PPP Finland will take over the distribution areas previously handled by Sanoma as of November 1. Newspaper subscribers will not feel the change.

"A well-functioning distribution is an essential part of the customer experience of a printed newspaper, and even in rapidly changing media usage, paper newspapers have a clear role and demand. We are happy that we found a competent buyer for the distribution operation who is constantly developing the operation", comments Timo Tassi, responsible for Sanoma Media Finland's Production and Logistics unit.

On April 1, 2024, PPP Finland will also expand its early delivery area to also cover Eastern Uusimaa, where Posti is currently responsible for early delivery. After this, PPP will be responsible for the early distribution of the entire HS product family in Uusimaa region outside the capital city.
