PPL with IAMA in Düsseldorf
The 29th IAMA International Conference begins at the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf today – and for the eleventh consecutive year PPL will be in attendance.
The conference is a great opportunity for us at PPL to present the best possible customer service to our ‘featured’ classical performer members – the singers, conductors and instrumentalists – as well as our ‘non-featured’, through meetings with heads of orchestras and choirs. With other important industry bodies represented among the 500 attendees, there is plenty of scope for our coverage.
The conference also presents an important opportunity to support the artist management community, which in spite of the considerable pressure it faces on a day-to-day basis remains as passionate and committed as ever.
The umbrella body IAMA (International Artist Managers’ Association) provides great support to this community both through the conference and behind the scenes, taking the lead on advice relating to Brexit while continuing to offer the excellent service they always have. Chief Executive Atholl Swainston-Harrison and his team deserve great credit for this, and PPL are proud to support the Classical Music Artists web resource (https://www.classicalmusicartists.com/iama.aspx)
If you’re at the conference, please come to the PPL area and say hello – we can share our news and bring you up to date with our own exciting developments. The event is a great chance to get to know new people and to reinforce existing relationships and friendships. Long may it continue to be that way!
