Yannick Poel, proud owner of XPLO-IT works only with the best when it comes to antenna technology used for his BIO-Link connectivity solution for the rural and more remote areas in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
Almost one-fourth of all people in the Netherlands live in remote and rural areas where availability of having (high speed) internet is not a “given”, as one would like to believe when thinking about one of the strongest economies in the world. Old copper infrastructure is expensive to replace and the last mile to object is very expensive.
The countryside is lagging behind digitally due to the lack of fast internet connections. As a result, efficient operations can often not be done. Many plans have been in discussion for many years. Waiting for glass fibre connection seems the be a story which is taking more and more time. So why wait?
With Bio-Link Yannick offers a practical and simple solution, bringing the internet to your home or business via the air. Poynting XPOL-2 antennas are used to link the Peplink routers to the telecom base station of the internet provider. The Jeep Wrangler has various antenna options installed, which can be tested on site. Measurements on the quality of the existing “old” internet connection are made. Next, a connection is set up using the Peplink router and the Poynting XPOL-2 cross-polarized directional LTE MIMO antenna. Results demonstrate that without a Poynting antenna a download speed of 3mbps is measured and after installation 25mbps. An incredible increase in speed, which allows streaming of videos, playing games, etc.
More importantly, the fixed wireless connection is stable and reliable. You will always be connected. The XPOL-2 and Peplink routers make this possible.
Another customer of XPLO-IT also complained about a very slow internet connection. It was provided by a 1Mbit ISDN line. Yannick explored various options, including fibre, but the cost ran into tens of thousands of Euros…. B.I.O. Link was therefore chosen as the best and most economical solution. An XPOL-2 was aimed at the nearest transmitter mast at a distance of no less than 1.3 kilometres. With this solution, they managed to scale up the speed from 1Mbit to a speed of 50Mbit per second in this wooded area.

6 年Hi Dave, would love to chat to someone there but everytime I try I get the same answer - talk to Scoop who is the reseller. They don't seem to support their own products from a information point of view. I just called now and got the same answer.
