Powersystems complete company training week

Powersystems are delighted to announce completion of the first company-wide training week, which was held on the 3–6 January 2023.

The week included teaching new skills, re-skilling and upskilling all partners of the Powersystems team. As well as taking care of our minds, well-being and practical hands-on learning experiences like the refresher training in the use of the nVent ERICO Cadweld Powders.

The Powersystems training week has been delivered through a variety of blended training solutions from; E-learning platforms, instructor lead classroom training and hands on practical workshops. These sessions have provided flexible and progressive user learning experiences for everyone at Powersystems.

Overall, the training has enabled Powersystems to promote and further enhance its workplace culture reinforcing the 5 core values of the Powersystems health, safety and well-being brand Priority No.1

For different teams and new starters within the company the week of comprehensive training has enhanced individual capability by developing knowledge and expertise to improve Powersystems business operations, with planned longer-term increases in productivity, and to immediately enhance the wider team’s agility.

Occupational health

Part of the training focus has been around refining Powersystems occupational health surveillance, this included obtaining baseline assessments for site operatives who are exposed to hazardous substances and power tools on a regular basis, enabling Powersystems to analyse and monitor vulnerability.??

Environmental awareness training

To achieve Powersystems annual environmental KPI’s we have also rolled out additional environmental awareness training to ensure that all Powersystems partners understand their duty of care as well as roles and responsibilities for protecting the environment.??

Risk assessment training

Risk assessment awareness training proved to provide valuable learning sessions, which reiterated the importance of team collaboration and knowledge sharing across all levels of expertise.

Chris Jenkins, Powersystems Managing Director, said.

‘What a great start to the year and being part of a renewed focus of everybody collaborating to develop personal and team skill sets.?This week of training will help everyone become better at their job, and as a team we can be better for each other, our customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.?
As a team we celebrate excellence but as company we are always challenging for improvement. Well done everyone.’

This targeted and customised approach to training enables Powersystems partners to transition seamlessly and ensures a deeper level of integration and on-boarding, bringing everyone up to date with new ways of working, business practices as well as providing the opportunity for everyone to have the time to refresh on policy and procedures.

The training week has also given all the team the chance to re-group, re focus, cement the internal-external relationship and has provided opportunities for valuable two-way 360 feedback and suggestions for improvements across the business.
