Having received a few calls from children of older parents, this is a reminder to you to set up an Enduring Power of Attorney. This will allow your children to get information, make decisions and sign documents on your behalf. Setting this up will ensure your nominated person(s) can continue acting for you even when you are not able to make decisions for yourself. A will does not offer enough protection. For more information, contact me or click here for full details including definitions.
If your parents do not have Powers of Attorney, talk to them about setting it up.
