How come that Lecturers of all kind use so bad slides in their presentations?
Have you seen it? I must confess that I am pretty bad a anything to do with graphics but I DO know that I cannot insult my audience. So I use Powerpoint, I also have Keynote but I am so used to PW that it takes me double the time to try to switch to KN.
The las version of PW is amazing suggesting new ways to present. You put your text and a picture and PW offers you dozens of alternative presentations for them. If I do it, ANYONE can do it.
How come that lecturers still believe I want to read text after text in their presentations? In my opinion, presentation should be MAINLY pictures or graphics, with little text only to remind the lecturer what she/he wants to say with each slide.
The slides should help emphasize a point or lead the lecturer to a different argument but THEY SHOULD NOT be a complete text that distracts the audience from what the lecturer is explaining.

5 年I could not agree with you more Rodolfo Carpintier I see so many terrible presentations on stage everyday... and most people think they are doing a good job... I wish they knew what ★ Nicolas Randall ★ the wizard of #visualstorytelling and #storytelling could do for them to improve those presentations and make them truly impacting and unforgetable
