#PoweringEveryone Around the World - Africa
Access to electricity is a basic human right, and I’m starting a vlog to showcase how our GE Power team is helping to make it happen. I'm calling it "#PoweringEveryone Around the World." I just got back from a week in Africa - Ivory Coast, Angola, and South Africa - where we are finding new customers and collaborators to bring more power to more people. Check out my first vlog from the largest planned power plant for Africa - Medupi - and photos from my travels. Thanks to the entire team supporting this incredible region every day.
Ivory Coast - spent time with our team and Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly. We announced the opening of a new Monitoring & Diagnostics Center for the region:
Angola - visited the Benguela Power Plant featuring our fast TM2500 gas power technology, met with customer AE Energia and key leaders to support the fight against malaria and bring more power to more people:
South Africa - spent time at Eskom's Medupi power plant - the largest planned power plant in Africa - with our project execution team, and got a chance to visit with our fantastic female tech leaders:
Thanks to the team.

7 年We have a great interest in West Africa also, especially Nigeria- there's almost 180M people there, many without reliable power. We have the technology, however are struggling with funds- how do you do it Steve? I'd be interested to learn more so I can help more.
