Powering Artificial Intelligence

Powering Artificial Intelligence

Introduction

Welcome to the 2nd edition of our LinkedIn newsletter, bringing you all the latest from Flex Power Modules and the world of DC/DC conversion and power management.

Thermal Management

In this month's edition, we delve into the thermal challenges presented by the latest applications in the fields of Artificial Intelliegence, Machine Learning, Cloud, & Hyperscale Computing, and discuss what tools we have available for you the Engineer when it comes to solving these challenges from the DC/DC converter standpoint.

Electronica China

We'd also like to let you know that we will be exhibiting at Electronica China from the 11-13th July 2023, and you'll find us in Hall 6.2, Booth A316 at the National Exhibition and Conference Center in Shanghai.

More details for that can be found below:

BMR313 1kW/3kW peak power DC/DC

Among other products on display at the show, we will be presenting our BMR313 series of non-isolated, unregulated DC/DC converters that delivers 1kW of continuous power and 3kW of peak power from a package measuring just 23.4 x 17.8 x 7.65mm.

Peak Power Load Management White Paper

The BMR313 above is just one example of the peak power handling capability of many of our products that address the demands of the latest GPUs and CPUs to draw short bursts of power/current from their power solutions during high processing activity. This topic is discussed in detail in the white paper below alongside some novel ideas to enable xPUs to "throttle back" on their power demands when thermal limits are being approached.
