A Powerful Question We Should All Ask Ourselves Right Now

Looking into a mirror, as a now 50 year old woman can be hard. Really hard.

I see my failures.

I see my flaws.

I see the mistakes I’ve made.

I see the reality of some of my life choices.

I hear the negative Shar reminding me of the people I’ve let down. Unintentionally of course, but that doesn’t change how we feel about it right?

I see the body that was given to me at birth and how it’s now struggling some days to cope. (I’m going to share my disease on the TV show publicly to help others realise that we are all going through something. I’m also choosing to keep going)

I hear my inner critic screaming at me and asking ‘who do you think you are Shar?’

Magazines. Books. TEDx talks. Mentoring.

And then I stop and reflect for a brief moment on all those I have helped.

  • The stranger who picked up a copy of a magazine I created that made her feel better.
  • The stranger who bought a copy of a book we’ve published who messaged to thank me.
  • The friend who I reached out to so she knew she was being seen and heard… and loved
  • The family member who received a random text from me for no reason just telling them I love them. Wanting nothing in return.

And that’s when I realised, that if I embrace my qualities and innate ability to help others see their best selves, wouldn’t that be a better way to spend the time I have left?

If I live to 90, I have around 2000 weeks left.

How am I going to use these wisely, as these weeks are not guaranteed.

To anyone. Ever.

And as we know, week’s go really fast don’t they?

So I ask you today my friend, how can you embrace all of the amazingawesomeness (yes that’s now a word) that makes up the DNA of you?

And how can you help others embrace theirs?

( I invite you to post below or message me as I want to know!)

This is not a drill my friends.

How many weeks do you have left???

How do you want to spend it?

What difference or impact do you want to make??

What if you could share your story with another human and that is the reason that they shifted their entire thinking.

Think about it.

Maybe the way you embrace your life, your thinking, your mistakes, your shortcomings, is the only thing that the reader actually hears out of the entire book.

What if you could shape humanity with your story?

Would you do it???

Would you share your story?

Would you step through the fear and self doubt and embrace an opportunity if it was presented to you?

With the weeks you have left, I sincerely hope that you embrace them before they are gone.

That you don’t live in regret or remorse.

That you don’t overthink things for so long, that the opportunity passes you by.

That you don’t sit and wait for the perfect time, as maybe with the weeks you have left, that time may not come.

I’m here to shape the lives of those I’m meant to come in contact with.

I’m here to feel sick to my stomach about the bold decisions I’ve chosen to embrace, like launching a TV talk show

I’m here to embrace the moment on the show with my authors, clients and some incredible humans from around the world and talk to them one on one about real life.

To have a conversation about their story.

Their moments.

Their beginnings and their ends.

I’m here to embrace the weeks I have left with everything I have.

If you are ready to embrace yours and would like to feature in our next book (only 3 chapters left) or profile yourself in our magazine, reach out to me by message.

My friend.

If you do nothing from this outpouring of my sincerest wish for you that’s ok.

However, maybe you will at least embrace these words and read them over and over again and ask yourself this one important question…

Am I truly embracing my gifts and all the opportunities coming my way, or am I letting fear control my remaining weeks?
