We have had the pleasure of interacting with Dr. Isaac Karanja Maina, CEO of Provide Medical Center in Mathare North. Over time, courtesy of our partnership, we have seen the health facility grow steadily and see a leap in its service offering to the residents around Mathare.

In a recent visit, we chatted to Dr. Karanja on how the device he acquired from Ilara Health, the full Hemogram machine also popularly known as hematology machine, is working for him. Before partnering with us, Provide Medical Center would regularly face problems in diagnosis, having to refer patients to neighboring labs and late results. “Sometimes we would get doubtful results or outsourced labs claiming specimens sent were expired” adds Dr. Karanja. This was impacting the facility ’s growth and something had to change.
