The Power Of Your Dream & The Impact You Can Make

The Power Of Your Dream & The Impact You Can Make

Honestly, I believe it's a fair question...

Am I living my dream or am I living someone else's?

Is it your parents or your grandparents?

Are you living the dream of your spouse, sister, or your brother?

I believe it's an intelligent question worth asking yourself if you want to live a life of fulfillment.

I also believe it's an important question we must consistently ask ourselves if we want to transform our results personally or professionally.

When we refuse to ask ourselves this question and fail to discover an honest answer within ourselves, our families, businesses, and souls eventually perish.

Here's what I mean...

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

He doesn't need an introduction, however, I respect his body of work too much to not give him the introduction he earned.

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is known as an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesman and leader in the American civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968. Amongst his many accomplishments was his famous "I Have A Dream Speech."

During this speech, Dr. King made many impactful quotes and statements that millions of us are living out today. For example, "I have a dream that one day out in the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood."

There's no denying this part of Dr. King's dream has come to reality.

Parts of Dr. King's dream have become a reality because his dreams continue to inspire millions to advocate for change.

Millions of people are committed to developing their skills so they can live their dream. Just so they can be on a platform and leverage it to inspire change. For example, players in the...

National Football League (NFL)

Like Dr. King, the NFL doesn't need an introduction. However, next to the church (a dream), the NFL is the second largest industry operating on Sundays in many countries.

The NFL is one of the most fascinating business conglomerates (another dream) I've ever studied.

The partners consist of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The league made an estimated?$15.26 billion?during the 2019 season, an increase from the $14.48 billion it reportedly made the year before. And the league is showing no intentions of slowing down. Commissioner Roger Goodell targeted $25 billion in revenue by 2027, or 6% annual growth.

Not bad for a dream, right?

Meanwhile, some of the players compete for and receive "The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year" award to honor a player's volunteer and charity work, as well as living his dream of playing a sport he loves at the highest level.

This brings me to your dream...

The Matrix Resurrection

Anyone who knows me knows I am a huge fan of the Matrix movie series.

I understand a lot of people watch it to be entertained by the cinematography, but I believe you are missing a major component of the story if you choose to focus there.

Don't get me wrong, Action movies are my favorite genre. However, the thoughts provoked while watching the Matrix are worth exploring.

At least until you reach your own level of understanding, so you can make the most informed decision for your life.

For example, Fate VS Free Will. For me, it's far more in-depth than picking a Red or Blue pill.

However, many people have chosen to believe fate is non-negotiable as the world is preprogrammed (Blue Pill). This group believes human actions are predetermined so?free will does not exist.

Alternatively, many of us have chosen to believe in Free Will (Red Pill). We believe we all have the power to alter the course of our lives by adjusting the way we Think, Behave, and do the things we Do.

If you believe your current situation is "How things are meant to be," I challenge you to ask yourself, "Why am I living someone else's dream preprogrammed into me?" Even better, "Who are they?"

If you believe you have the power to transform who you are and inspire others to change, I challenge you to ask yourself "Who do I want to become so I can impact millions of lives like Dr. King, the NFL, and many of its players?"

At the end of the day, we are all living someone else's dream while living our own.

Remember, we started this conversation with the question "Am I living my dream, or am I living someone else's?"

Now I pose the question "How much impact do you want to make from living your dream?"

The choice is yours. Choose wisely.
