The Power of You!

You are incredible. Yes, I'm talking to you. There is this wonderful energy to you that is so uniquely you that I fully believe in the power of you. Now, you must be thinking to yourself, "KJ how can you be talking about me specifically when this is just an article you wrote on LinkedIn." First of all, wow get out of my head! Who is The Power of You

How can I be talking about you without you right in front of me? Because you are here, reading this, breathing in and out, taking a moment out of your day to see this jumble of words I've strung together and my hope is that it lifts you up. You might find yourself stuck somehow right now; perhaps you've been impacted by a layoff, or maybe you find yourself at a company where leadership is acting any way but with credibility, or maybe you just sometimes need a moment. No matter where you are in life right now I know an absolute truth and that is the power of you.

What is The Power of You

To tell you what that is I need to restate the very first sentence I started this article with: you are incredible. For a moment I want you to reflect on anything that is weighing on you. Could be something someone said to you, a decision made that was detrimental or negative to you, or perhaps even how someone has treated you poorly recently. Reflect through that and let it swirl just a bit. Now go ahead and flush it down the drain because I am here to you that whatever that was it can not stop the power that is you. Sometimes others, either intentionally or un-intentionally, hurt us with their words or actions. But I don't want you for one second to let that diminish your light and energy. Whatever you might feel has been blocked in front of you or lessened you is only something that activates the superpower of you to empower the hero that is you.

Why is The Power of You?

You deserve happiness and joy and to breathe fully into the next moments of your day without the heaviness that can so often be on our minds and in our feelings. The power of you is a light others can try to dim but they can't truly touch it. You are an energy-efficient, high-lumen wonder of light that won't be dimmed. And here's the sprinkle on top: others see your light and they love it. They love the power of you and so much about you.

Put on your favorite song, order that fancy coffee, take a hot minute and read that book about a fantasy world far, far away. You, yes you, are so darn wonderful. Never forget the power that is you!
